Where Epic Revenue Cycle leaders come together to gain knowledge, share best practices and network with their peers.
CORE is the acronym that stands for the Collaboration of Revenue Cycle Epic Users. We were founded in 2012 by Karen Wilson, Gil Radtke, Cliff Skinner and Matt Navigato. CORE was created at a time when many organizations were leaving other EMRs and joining Epic. People were hungry to learn from each other. CORE has evolved over the years, but our founding values remain strong: peer-to-peer learning, sharing best practices, helping Epic shape and refine their software, and creating networking opportunities among our membership.
CORE typically has two conferences per year: Spring and Late Summer. Typical conferences draw participants from 40 or more Epic organizations. Conference attendance is capped at 320, and our conferences almost always fill up. Conferences run Wednesday afternoon through Friday noon and are typically held at a hotel located near our “Host Site”. Our Education Committee (see Education tab) does an excellent job of soliciting session ideas and recruiting qualified presenters. Since networking is extremely important to us, we do our best to build in some networking time during the days of the conference. However, our attendees enjoy wonderful networking social events both Wednesday and Thursday evenings. For more information on upcoming or past conferences, please check out the “CORE Conference” tab.
Please see our Board Members below.
While our conferences are only twice per year, we have a number of “Best Practice” groups that meet (virtually) monthly. These sessions are focused on specific areas of the revenue cycle and are highly popular. As with our conferences, our members drive the agenda for these calls. Epic personnel sit in and often provide technical advice. Please see our “Best Practice” tab for more information and how you can join.
CORE typically invites seven to eight vendors to join together to sponsor each conference. CORE welcomes the contribution these sponsors provide. Conferences do not include a vendor fair, but we welcome our sponsors to attend most conference sessions. Please see the “Sponsor” tab for a list of the sponsors for our upcoming conference as well as how potential sponsors can gain more information.
